Goodbye/Farewell
Choreographic strategies of saying goodbye are interwoven with stories of loss and rituals that question the human place in the world. The dancers wrestle with their archetypes of repression and repeatedly try to discard habitual ways of acting. The inner turmoil between wanting to hold on and having to let go becomes the tangible driving force behind their journey. Time and again, spaces open up in which grief can be admitted and shared. The audience is invited to enter these spaces together with the performers and look out for moments in which change may begin.
The piece forms the second part of FUTURE RELATIONS, a long-term interdisciplinary choreographic project in search of sustainable relationships in times of escalating climate catastrophe.

The evening looks like a social game with a deeper meaning. The usual dramaturgy of a dance piece is suspended in favor of performance with dance. Whereby the friendly communication with the audience contrasts with the passages in which the dance team acts.(…) It is this discursive openness with which a space is performed that is animated both physically and intellectually with its shadowed corners. Dance theater as self-questioning and a search for insight on a small scale – that has its appeal.
