Recharge
The world demands, relentlessly. New crises, daily sensory overload, constant acceleration. What happens when the system overheats and everything overwhelms us? Where is the tipping point between exhaustion and resilience? In the intimate solo Recharge by Antje Velsinger / new trouble, dancer Marie Klemm embarks on a radical search for the energetic zero point — and what comes after.
Recharge is not a retreat into a wellness oasis, but a kinetic experiment on the body itself. On stage, a hypnotic choreography unfolds from various movements that generate energy. Here, movement is not consumed but used as a generator: can kinetic energy override emotional exhaustion? When overwhelmed, do we need to take something in, or radically shed ballast, in order to become capable of action again? At the intersection of physical abstraction and intimate emotionality, Antje Velsinger / new trouble negotiate one of the most pressing questions of our time: how do we recharge when everything around us is collapsing?
