Open Call for artistic exchange

Open Call for artistic exchange:

How to deal with the ecological crisis on stage?

Research and artistic approaches

April 29 & 30, 2023 at Tanzhaus NRW / Düsseldorf

How can artistic practices, research and productions approach the thematic complex of the ecological crisis? Which aspects should or can be worked on and staged? With which means? What new approaches, what practices and what scope for action can artists develop? What responsibilities do artists see themselves confronted with? And to what extent does the confrontation with these topics influence their own ways of working and producing?

Antje Velsinger&Team are looking for artists who have dealt or are currently dealing with the ecological crisis and the above-mentioned questions through artistic research or stage productions. We invite four artists to a weekend, during which we will share our experiences, expertise and artistic approaches in a practical way and engage in exchange.

We are especially interested in different artistic formats to open up these researches and processes: through workshop, lecture performances, participatory formats and many more.

For the call, please send a DIN A4 page with a short concept about which artistic strategies you have developed in the context of your work and in which format you would like to present your approaches to your colleagues. Please explain why you have chosen this format and which technical means you will need.

We offer: 600 € per artistic position and reimbursement of accommodation and travel expenses within Germany according to the Federal Travel Expenses Act.

Each person creates a 2h time slot for the other participant:s.
