Christina Giessmann
Christina Gießmann works as a cultural manager in the fields of dance and music. She works with Antje Velsinger as a freelance production director and manager on the production series Future Relations. She has also been festival manager of the DARA String Festival in Berlin since 2021. Until 2023, she was manager of Ensemble Garage and oversaw the Cologne concert series Acts ‘n Sounds. With the Ensemble unitedberlin she was involved in the productions RESISTANZ and KRAANERG – two performances, by musicians together with dancers of the Company Sasha Waltz staged by the choreographer Jiri Bartovanec. She was company manager of Kareth Schaffer’s ConstructionCompany and program manager at Ponderosa Dance e.V. Before that, she was active for six years as a worldwide casting manager for dancers and classical musicians, and also worked for Constanza Macras, as well as for a production of the soloist ensemble Kaleidoskop in Berlin and in Oslo. Before studying cultural studies, she worked in the German government and in public broadcasting.
