Antje Velsinger & Team are looking for professional dancers/ performers (f/m/d) for their upcoming production THEIR FUTURE – premiering September 22 & 23, 2023 at Tanzhaus NRW. The dance production “THEIR FUTURE” is the first part of FUTURE RELATIONS, an interdisciplinary, choreographic long-term project, in search of sustainable relationships in times of worsening climate catastrophe.

We are looking for dancers/performers of different ages & backgrounds with a strong interest in movement research, technical proficiency in contemporary dance, familiarity with performative uses of language, and a strong imagination.

Planned rehearsal times in NRW & Hamburg

May 29 – June 09, 2023*

July 03 – 21, 2023

August 28 – September 23, 2023 // premiere at Tanzhaus NRW September 22, 2023

* this first period in May/June might be postponed for another 1-2 weeks

About us: The interdisciplinary dance productions of Antje Velsinger & Team tackle current socio-political challenges. Their productions are based on extensive research in which they seek encounters with actors from other fields. Velsinger and her team talk to parents and children about how to deal with the climate crisis, interview high-performance athletes about their physical experiences within the neoliberal performance system, or initiate exchanges with people whose bodies fall outside this performance system, such as senior citizens. The stage productions make these experiences tangible in a poetic way. They design temporary escape strategies and fictitious places of retreat and test alternative ways of dealing with the challenges of our time.
